Happy Easter from BCU Financial Group!
As we celebrate Easter, we reflect on the values that have always been at the heart of our community: faith, hope, resilience, and care for one another. With proud Ukrainian roots, this season holds deep meaning for us as a time to gather, give thanks, and cherish the traditions that fill our homes with warmth – from heartfelt conversations to the aroma of fresh paska around the table.
This year, we also hold Ukraine especially close in our hearts as the war goes into its 5th year, with continued hope for peace, strength, and brighter days ahead. Easter is the symbol of rebirth, so especially now, faith is strong that good will always prevail over evil.
May your Easter be filled with peace, love, and time with those who matter most. Thank you for being part of our community and for continuing to support one another.
Христос Воскрес!

BCU Foundation held a fundraising event “Resilient Hearts – An Evening Where Compassion Meets Action” on Saturday, February 21, 2026.
Since its establishment in 2006, BCU Foundation has distributed about $24 million in support of countless projects to a multitude of organizations across Canada, including over $8 million for humanitarian and medical initiatives in Ukraine and efforts to combat Russian disinformation about Ukraine and its people. Today, the Foundation holds $52 million in assets and supports 59 designated funds dedicated to cultural and educational initiatives.
The evening featured two distinguished guest speakers from Ukraine — YouTube documentary journalist Caolan Robertson and internationally celebrated Ukrainian chef Yevhen Klopotenko, who led the successful campaign to have Ukrainian borscht recognized as Ukrainian borscht UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage listing. Their powerful presentations highlighted both the human stories behind the war and the importance of preserving Ukrainian culture and identity.
The successful event was attended by 420 donors and raised over $150,000, including a Platinum sponsorship of $50,000 from BCU Financial. We thank BCU Financial for making this event a success and for their continued leadership in supporting humanitarian relief, cultural preservation, and community resilience.
