We were honored to take part in the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League of Canada at the Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church.

On behalf of BCU Financial, we extend our warmest congratulations on this significant milestone. For sixty years, the League has been a beacon of faith, culture, and community—preserving Ukrainian heritage with grace and strength, while supporting generations through leadership, spirituality, and service.

BCU Financial is proud to support organizations that embody our core values of unity, commitment, and giving back. The legacy of the League continues to inspire future generations.

One of the most moving moments of the celebration was the presence of Petro, a true symbol of bravery and resilience. A former long-haul truck driver, Petro returned to Ukraine at the start of the full-scale war to defend his homeland. He served in the 24th King Danylo Mechanized Brigade and was severely wounded by an anti-tank mine in the Kherson region—losing both legs, spending weeks in a coma, and surviving five clinical deaths. Today, he continues to serve Ukraine from the home front through his foundation, “Unbroken Warriors.”

We are deeply grateful for the League’s work and honored to have witnessed such a powerful and meaningful gathering. Congratulations once again on 60 remarkable years of faith, service, and strength.
