BCU Financial donates $125,000 to Friends of Ukraine Defense Forces Fund

Established by the League of Ukrainian Canadians (LUC) and the League of Ukrainian Canadian Women (LUCW), the FUDF Fund has raised over $3,000,000 and supports the servicemen and women of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the frontlines by providing equipment such as defensive body armour, as well as first aid medical kits and other medical supplies, hygiene products, non-perishable food and spiritual materials. FUDF Fund also supports the fallen & wounded servicemen and women and their families by ensuring that soldiers who have suffered injuries in protecting Ukraine have access to the support and humanitarian aid that they desperately need.

70 years ago, Buduchnist Credit Union was founded by 25 forward-thinking Ukrainians who immigrated to Canada after WWll. The League of Ukrainian Canadians (LUC) and the League of Ukrainian Canadian Women (LUCW) were among the founding organizations of Buduchnist Credit Union. Their mission was the promotion of national independence for Ukraine and human rights for the Ukrainian people while advancing the interests of the Ukrainian Canadian community within the framework of multiculturalism in Canada. In so doing, they were instrumental in creating a financial cooperative whose combined assets would benefit its membership and the larger Ukrainian community in Canada. As Ukraine and her people are fighting for their lives, for their culture, for their identities, for their freedom and independence, our support is needed more than ever.

As part of its ongoing support, today BCU Financial donates $125,000 to the Friends of Ukrainian Defense Forces Fund. We are confident in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the networks of territorial defenses which stand bravely and nobly because they are protecting their land, their people.

Кредитова Спілка ‘’Будучність’’ пожертвувала $125,000 Фонду ‘’Приятелі Збройних Сил України’’

Фонд ‘’Приятелі Збройних Сил України’’ був створений в 2014р. у відповідь на агресію Росії на сході України. Протягом останніх 8 років Україна у війні. Збройні сили України, а також добровольчі батальйони виконують свій обов’язок із захисту своєї нації. Жертводавці Фонду допомагають тим, хто служить у Збройних Силах, а також родинам загиблих, переміщеним особам. Фонд створений Ліґою Українців Канади та Ліґою Українок Канади. Протягом цих років, Фонд зібрав понад 3 000 000 дол. На кошти жертводавців закуповуються захисні обладунки, дрони, медичні засоби та засоби гігієни, патріотичні та духовні матеріали. Фонд використовує кошти для лікування поранених, для підтримки родин поранених та загиблих.

70 років тому, 25 активних та дальновидних українців повоєнної хвилі еміґрації, заснували Кредитову Спілку ‘’Будучність’’. Серед її засновників були члени та членкині Ліґи Визволення України (сьогодні Ліґа Українців Канади та Ліґа Українок Канади). Вони були голосом поневоленої України у вільному світі, і їхня місія була і є до сьогодні – боротьба за незалежну Україну та відстоювання інтересів України в цілому світі. Протягом 70 років наполегливої праці, ‘’Будучність’’стала сильною, здатною підтримувати українську громаду в Канаді. ‘’Будучність’’ стала – фінансовим фундаментом громади. Україна знову бореться за незалежність та свою ідентичність і підтримка цієї боротьби зараз надважлива.

Кредитова Спілка ‘’Будучність’’ пишається тим, що продовжує справу її засновників та борців за волю України. Сьогодні Кредитова Спілка передає $125,000 Фонду ‘’Приятелі Збройних Сил України’’. Ми впевнені в Збройних Силах України та в загонах територіальної оборони, які стоять відважно, бо захищають свою землю, свій народ.
