Every year, BCU Financial Group is a proud sponsor of the Matura graduation ceremony, celebrating the achievements of students in the Ukrainian Canadian School Board schools across the GTA. On June 8, 2024, we celebrated the achievements of this year’s graduates from the St. Nicholas Ukrainian Heritage School, St. Volodymyr Ukrainian School, Ivan Franko Ukrainian Schools in Toronto and Oshawa, Yuriy Lypa Ukrainian School, Nova Shkola, Ridna Shkola, Pavlo Yuzyk Academy and Lesia Ukrainka Ukrainian School of Ottawa.

BCU Financial and BCU Foundation presented each student with a silver trident – tryzub – pendant, Ukraine’s national symbol, that will serve as a reminder of their Ukrainian heritage. In addition, our financial group sponsored the Literature Awards, valued at $250 per recipient and given to worthy students who stand out in studying Ukrainian literature.

BCU Financial Group is committed to supporting the many projects that promote a deeper awareness and understanding of Ukrainian history, traditions and language. We understand the importance of education, preserving our history, and bringing up new generations of leaders in the community. Congratulations to all the graduates on finishing the 2024 school year!
