Dynamic Women: A Spotlight on Ukrainian Canadian Entrepreneurs

BCU Financial was proud to sponsor the Dynamic Women event organized by St. Volodymyr Institute and the Ukrainian Canadian Professional and Business Association of Toronto on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. It was a lively panel discussion celebrating successful Ukrainian Canadian entrepreneurs, discussing the challenges and gains of being a woman in business and the role their Ukrainian Canadian heritage has had in their entrepreneurial journey.

The panel was led by UCPBA Toronto President, Uliana Tomiuk and included a wide variety of dynamic women: Marian Janchenko of Janchenko’s Bakery, which is located in Bloor West Village, Sophia Pierro of Present Day Gifts & Baa Baazaar, Ivanka Siolkowsky of Tidy Moose, and Katheryn Vellinga of Zirkova Vodka.

The evening was emotional and insightful as the panel members shared some of their various experiences, their ups and downs, and their plans for the future!! Our community is in great hands with these female leaders leading the charge!
