BCU Financial Supports Niagarka and Theatre Lingua Vaudeville At St. Nicholas Day in Niagara!

BCU Financial was the primary sponsor of the St. Nicholas Christmas Concert in Niagara Falls, organized by Niagarka at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church on Sunday, December 10, 2023.

The highlight of the event was the performance about the history of St. Nicholas Day presented by Theatre Lingua Vaudeville. Over 50 children who attended the event were included in the performance in a fun and engaging way, wearing costumes, reciting their lines, and singing a song to call Svyatyi Mykolai to the festivities! The children received gifts from the Kind Saint and had plenty of opportunities to take pictures with him and with our own Lys Mykyta. BCU Financial sponsored $1,000 to the theatre, as well as all the children’s gifts for the event: story books, activity books and BCU branded items.

Theatre Lingua Vaudeville performers are Ukrainians who have recently arrived in Canada, and whose lives have been impacted by Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine.
