BCU supports Sviato Knyzky – a celebration of the Ukrainian written word

BCU Financial commemorated the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language by supporting Sviato Knyzky – a celebration of the Ukrainian written word. The Ukrainian Canadian School Board – Toronto Branch, along with the Ukrainian Writers for Children and Youth, organized a student concert which took place on Sunday, November 17th at the Huculak Centre in Toronto. Over 100 students took part in the performance representing the various Ukrainian Heritage Language schools in the GTA. Students read poems and excerpts from famous stories and also sang songs to highlight their appreciation of the Ukrainian written language stories.
BCU donated Ukrainian language books for each student to add to their home library collection. BCU continues to support important initiatives which encourage students to learn about and appreciate Ukrainian culture and the arts.
Кредитова Спілка BCU Financial відзначила день української писемності та мови, підтримавши «Свято книжки», святкування українського писемного слова. Шкільна Рада Конґресу Українців Канади. Відділ Торонто та Українські Працівники Літератури Для Дітей та Молоді ім. Леоніда Глібова організували студентський концерт, який відбувся у неділю 17 листопада, у центрі Хуцуляк у Торонто. Понад 100 учнів взяли участь у виставі, яка представляла різні школи української спадщини з околиці Торонто. Студенти читали вірші та уривки з відомих оповідань, а також співали пісні.
Кредитова Спілка подарувала книги в українській мові для кожного студента. Кредитова Спілка BCU Financial продовжує підтримувати важливі ініціативи, які заохочують студентів пізнавати та цінувати свою українську культуру.
