Our commitment to serving our community is what drives us forward. Working towards a shared purpose of helping newcomers is what brought BCU Financial & BCU Foundation together with the Afghan Network for Social Services (ANSS) and the Toronto Police Services. On Saturday, February 4th, BCU Foundation & BCU Financial as well as the Afghan Network for Social Services (ANSS) had the pleasure of meeting Chief Myron Demkiw, a Member of the Order of Merit of the Police Forces (M.O.M.) in order to donate over 350 welcome packages for young newcomers to the GTHA, that the Toronto Police Service, through their network and community programs, will distribute to the newly arriving displaced persons, refugees, and families in need. Andriy Tarapacky, Chair of the BCU Financial Board of Directors, along with the President & CEO of BCU Financial, Oksana Prociuk Ciz, and Chair of the BCU Foundation Board of Directors, Roman Medyk, thanked Chief Demkiw for his service and support and presented him with a special Ukrainian army edition embroidered shirt.
