Representatives of the BCU Financial took an active part in the Rebuild Ukraine Business Conference, organized by the Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce and numerous partners. It took place at the Omni King Edward Hotel in Toronto, ON on November 23rd, 2022.
BCU Financial was proud to be a gold sponsor of this event with more than 300 participants from Canadian and Ukrainian businesses, Government and Financial Institutions in attendance. Over 50 speakers from Ukraine, Canada and the U.S. presented their views on rebuilding of Ukraine.
During the opening of the conference, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Canada Chrystia Freeland presented “Ukraine Sovereignty Bonds”, which allows individual Canadians to underwrite, in $100 increments, a loan of up to $500 million from Ottawa to Kyiv via the International Monetary Fund. Many of the BCU Financial members took the opportunity to purchase the bonds though our financial institution!
The “21st century Marshall Plan” and the process of rebuilding of Ukraine must start now! Those who invest in Ukraine today will benefit the most in future.
