XXVI Triennial Congress of Ukrainian Canadians

The UCC National – Ukrainian Canadian Congress held their 26th Triennial Congress from November 1-3, 2019 in Ottawa, ON.
BCU Financial was honoured to sponsor the “Human Rights – an international and Canadian perspective” workshop, where various human rights organizations spoke about key issues that impact Ukrainian Canadians and how to work together with international organizations to impact Ukrainian and Ukrainian Canadian human rights. Speakers included The Hon. A. Raynell Andreychuk, Marcus Kolga, Orest Zakydalsky and Marta Baziuk.

Various awards were presented at the UCC Triennial Congress, including the Shevchenko Medal, which is the highest degree of recognition that can be granted by the Ukrainian Canadian Congress. It recognizes individuals, of Ukrainian and non-Ukrainian descent, groups and organizations for their outstanding National voluntary contribution, towards the development and enhancement of the Ukrainian Canadian community.
