Member Update – April 1st Global Internet Incident
08.04.20
Dear Members,
As we continue to encourage you to #STAYHOME and utilize BCULink Telephone, Internet & Mobile Banking services as much as possible, during the COVID-19 pandemic, we also want to ensure you are accessing our remote services in a safe and secure way.
You may notice that you have been asked to update your online banking password recently. This has been done on a precautionary basis, since more members are using BCULink as they #STAYHOME, and we want to ensure your passwords are up to date and meet our password security requirements.
Please make sure to regularly update your passwords in accordance with any notifications you may receive from us. It is important that you continue to regularly update your login credentials to ensure continued safe and secure access to BCULink.
Please never share your login credentials with any other party, including sending them by email, or using them to access any other website other than https://bculink.ca or https://bcufinancial.com.
As a further precautionary measure, when you visit us online, please make sure you visit us at https://bcufinancial.com or https://bculink.ca directly, rather than searching for us on Google, or clicking on any links you may see for us which originate on any other website.
On April 1, 2020, there was a brief disruption to worldwide internet traffic which impacted online services including Google, Amazon, Facebook and others.
If you tried to access BCULink on April 1, 2020, and experienced any issues logging in to the system, please let us know by contacting us at info@bcufinancial.com. We would like to hear from you to make sure your access to BCULink was restored and you are able to continue to access our system without further interruptions.
If you have any questions about the steps we have taken to provide you an enhanced remote banking experience as you #STAYHOME or to learn more about our response to the COVID-19 pandemic, please click here for BCU’s COVID-19 Update and well as BCU’s Helpful Links and Resources.
As always, your local branch representatives remain available to discuss your needs with you. Due to the volume of calls and emails we are receiving during our reduced hours, please allow us more time to respond to you.
Sincerely,
BCU Financial
